Hartsfield was simple to get around; my bags weighed exactly the right amount and security took less than five minutes including the line. The only hard part was saying goodbye.
If I ever travel internationally again I am flying Lufthansa. Okay, the food isn’t that great and the seats were only comfortable for the first 5 hours but that’s normal. The staff was exceptional.
ATL to FRA – I sat next to a really cool guy that was personable without being creepy. We had good conversation and shook hands goodbye.
FRA airport is another story… the people were rude! I literally heard two girls talking and saying that I was “so American”. You know when you’re at a nail salon and you’re positive all of the people are talking about you in Vietnamese? Well, that’s the feeling I get with the Germans. All the guys here wear skinny jeans (gay, straight, skinny, fat). The guys that are wearing shorts wear them above their knee and it looks as if they shave. Man-scaping!!!
FRA to BUD – eek. The plane was nice. I was surprised they even served a meal and drinks on an 1hr45min flight but it’s good because I paid for it!! Smaller planes experience more turbulence and when we were landing my ears were popping so bad that I thought my head was going to explode. I felt the popping in the bigger plane but I don’t know if it was because this one was smaller or that it was my second time in 5 hours experiencing a ridiculous pressure change but the second time was MUCH worse!
Germans are crazy...
