Vienna Christmas Market

Around Vienna with the best mentor ever, Bianka. I loved Vienna! So clean and beautiful. The city itself is art.

Elbowing!!

There is this tradition that some friends have called Elbowing. We wake up and go to the local market right when it opens (around 5-5:30) and drink really cheap alcohol. Palinka, freccs (wine and soda water), and hot wine. It's called Elbowing because the alcohol is so cheap that after a few drinks the only way to hold your head up is to prop your elbow up on the table and support your head with your hand.
It was the earliest I woke up all semester and I was drunk by 8am.

Family

The reason I chose Hungary was simply because of family. Yea Turkey and India would have been cool (ok, maybe not India) but Hungary was where I felt I should go. I got the chance to meet the best people in the world that I could not have met otherwise and see where my Grandpa was born. Even though we never met, and in some cases didn't even know the other existed, my family welcomed me with open arms (and houses and food). They made me feel at home in a foreign country. I'm lucky to be related to all of these people.
The memories will be with me forever.
